Our Story

Morgan and Evan met through mutual friends on June 4th 2016, and there was an instant attraction. They both had busy summers, but connected multiple times for dinner and a lake trip. On October 22nd 2016, Evan officially asked Morgan to be his girlfriend. One of Morgan’s favorite things about Evan is his humor and thoughtfulness. Knowing she loved donuts, he asked the “define the relationship” question by making a breakfast of mini donuts and placed one on her ring finger.

Their next milestone happened on their first trip together to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. Boomer! On this trip, on Bourbon Street…Evan said “I love you.” Morgan questioned his delivery and timing, but knew she felt the same way and was overjoyed to share her feelings with him! Throughout the next four years, Morgan and Evan made many memories in Oklahoma. Some of their favorite things included long walks with their Augie Doggie, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Thunder and Sooners. When Evan was accepted into Residency at UT Southwestern, their future was uncertain. Would they do long distance or would Morgan move to Dallas? Despite changing circumstances and Evan’s challenging schedule, their love is the one constant thing that won’t change. In June of 2019 Morgan and Evan called Dallas their new home.

In October of 2020 Evan popped the question with a full day scavenger hunt in Oklahoma City! He had planned 8 stops around OKC of their favorite places. The hunt started at Mama Roja, where they had their first date. A Cameo appearance from Carol Baskin kicked off the first clue, and then Morgan was off to her next stop. Other clue destinations included Dollhouse, The Chesapeake Arena, an old rent house, and of course the nail salon! The hunt ended at Morgan’s parents’ house where he proposed!
